Our Story!
Teachers are more willing to share than people give us credit for! As university faculty, we want our research to make a difference! Pre-service teachers have the newest pedagogical practices and are digital natives! Often as educators, we are forced into a box or are labeled and it is hard to overcome these perceptions. To influence education in a way that makes a difference for all students is a goal of every educator. The experiences of all three of these groups are a powerful combination.
We want a place where new educators, master teachers, and researchers can contribute to the profession on a level playing field in a common space. We want this site to have a common cause; professional growth, period. We want a place where not only do you share your best lessons but you give those few tricks up your sleeve that you know will make your kids get it. In order to get ideas from others, you have to be willing to contribute. You have to provide feedback. You have to be willing to comment on how to make the lesson more technologically up-to-date. You have to be willing to reply to another on powerful new tools and pedagogical ideas. You will make this network successful. If you believe that together we learn more than alone, then prove it! Share your best ideas and give some time to the network. You will get time back in the form of others contributing to you and your professional growth. Give some time; get some back. We know that educators use a multitude of resources and we'll help you to organize them so that they're usable when you need them.
