Recovery that reads the decline
An expired card, insufficient funds and a hard decline are different problems. Each failed payment enters a recovery ladder branched by its decline reason, not a retry timer.
Billing you can audit
Every state change is written to an append-only ledger in the same transaction that makes the change. “Why did this subscription pause?” always has an answer.
Safe by default
New stores start in dry-run: the engine logs what it would charge before it charges anything. Every store keeps its own kill switch.
Permissions that mean something
Staff roles separate seeing subscriptions from seeing customer personal data from exporting it. Shopify authenticates; Boomrrang authorizes.
A minimal data footprint
The only customer personal field stored is the email address needed for failed-payment notices.
One honest note: Boomrrang opens in its own secure tab rather than inside the Shopify admin. Each store gets its own isolated address — that separation is how we keep one store’s data unreachable from another’s.
